Lima Boyle Shares Insight on Education and Teaching

During the week of March 25, 2012 Rhode Island Teacher of the Year and Coventry High School educator, Julie Lima Boyle will be featured on the Pearson Foundation’s digital project, Five Things I've Learned. Boyle's contributions and insights will be included among other leaders whose efforts are improving outcomes for students. See the attached YouTube file to view Julie's recorded video spot.

Five Things I’ve Learned chronicles personal and professional lessons learned from decades of real-world experience, sharing proven practice and wisdom about learning, teaching, and helping others. The series, available at www.thefivethings.org, extends the Pearson Foundation’s mission to share the best practices of the innovators shaping education today. Contributors to Five Things I’ve Learned share a common commitment to improving the fortunes of others through learning.

Julie Lima Boyle works at Coventry High School in Coventry, RI, as an English teacher, as well as the ELA Curriculum Coordinator and department chairperson. Her 14 years of teaching were recognized last year when was selected as the Rhode Island 2012 Teacher of the Year. As a teacher, Boyle works to always be evolving, honing, researching, and finding new ways to communicate a love of reading and writing.
