Spring Recreation Programs: Resident registration is now open for Coventry Parks & Recreation Spring 2013 Programs. Registration can be done at the P&R office at the Community Center. Steak Fry Registration: The Coventry Men's Club (30 Phillips Hill Rd.), will host a Steak Fry and Chicken or Fish Dinner on March 15 at 7 p.m. Live music will follow. Steak - $12.99, Chicken or Fish - $10.99. Reservationa must be made by March 13 by calling 385-3536.
Wantaknowhow 2013 Scholarship: The Wantaknowhow Garden Club is currently accepting applications for its 2013 Scholarship Award. The annual scholarship is available to seniors as well as a former graduate of Coventry High School, Exeter-West Greenwich High School and The Greene School, who is actively pursuing a career in Environmental Science. Applications are available in the school Guidance offices or by contacting Peter Stetson at 821-9499. Completed application should be mailed to Wantaknowhow Garden Club, 4090 Flat River Rd., Greene, 02827 and must be received by March 31.
Plan Ahead - Basketball For Charity: On Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. in the Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School gym, members of the Coventry Police Department will take on staff from ASFMS in a basketball game sponsored by Coventry Military Kids. Admission is $5/adult ($4 w/ military ID) and $3/student ($2 with military ID) and all proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Click here to learn more about the event.
