Nancy E. (Huling) Sprengelmeyer, 67, of Taft St. in Coventry, a retired teacher, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at RI Hospital while surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Joseph R. Sprengelmeyer for 18 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Vance D. Huling Sr. and Edna E. (Small) Huling. Nancy was an Educator for more than 30 years. She was a mentor to many while teaching at the Coventry High School before retiring in 1999. Nancy had served on the Coventry School Committee since 2002. She was currently Vice Chairperson, and previously served as Chairperson.
Nancy was the sister of John Wayne Huling and his wife Dixie of Lebanon, Connecticut, Janice Ucci of East Greenwich the late Vance D. Huling Jr. and William Huling. She was the daughter-in-law of Esther Sarafian of Cranston, Stepmother of Brian D. Sprengelmeyer of California, and Amy Healy and husband Jason of Connecticut. Nancy was the caring grandmother to Seth and Evan Healy. She was the sister-in-law of Sandi Charland, RN of Wakefield. Nancy is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Nancy's funeral service will be Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117), Coventry. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 7 from 3-7 p.m.
