9:13 a.m.: The Coventry Public Works Department has canceled trash and recycle pickup for today (Wednesday, January 16, 2013) due to the snowstorm. Trash and Recycling pickup will be on a one day delayed schedule for the remainder of this week.
6:58 a.m.: Due to snow accumulation and hazardous driving conditions - especially for school buses, Coventry Public Schools have delayed the start of elementary classes by one hour on Wednesday morning.
Coventry High School Principal Mike Hobin sent out via the school's ListServ that by the time the elementary delay had been called, high school students had already arrived on buses and some middle school students were about to be picked up. Because of the confusion regarding a district-wide delay, Hobin said that tardiness will be excused today.
Also, the Greenwich Village School will be delayed by 1 hour, 30 minutes, but the 11:30 a.m. class will begin at its normal time.
