On Monday morning, The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) announced that due to predicted high temperatures through the middle of the week, cooling centers should be open to the public where available.
Due to the heat, Coventry EMA officials have opened a Cooling Center at the Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.) to give residents some escape from the soaring temperatures. The center will be open until 9 p.m. on Monday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
For additional Cooling Centers across the state, see the attached PDF.
