Coventry Animal Control is currently playing host to this quirky girl who is in need of a loving home.
She appears to have been dumped outdoors and was found with an egg-sized tumor on her side which has since been removed. She seems to be making a full recovery and despite her stitches, she continues to be playful and very friendly. A game of peek-a-boo in her cardboard box was keeping her occupied when I stopped by the pound.
The ferret has been spayed and is up-to-date on her rabies vaccination. She is also litterbox trained and is "probably the cleanest ferret we have ever had here", according to Coventry Animal Control Officer Matt McCormick.
There is no fee to adopt her, however a monetary donation to Animal Control is greatly appreciated to help cover day-to-day expenses such as food, bedding, medications and vet visits.
