Preventure, a Coventry-based corporate health and wellness provider, has outgrown its Route 3 office and recently relocated to a 10,000 square foot facility at 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road, where a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday to celebrate the move.
"We feel very fortunate to be experiencing record growth during these uncertain economic times," said Mark Correia, Preventure’s CEO.
In 2012, Preventure was named one of Providence Business News (PBN) Top 15 Fastest Growing Companies and one of the Healthiest Employers in Rhode Island. From 2009 to 2012, the company experienced more than a 200% increase in revenue by providing local and national companies with comprehensive employee wellness plans. Preventure's growing list of clients includes CarMax, Dannon, Lowe's, MasterCard and Michelin, among others.
Preventure's recent growth is attributed to the increasing need for healthier employees throughout corporate America. With employer health plan costs expected to rise 6.5% in 2013, corporate health and wellness programs are becoming an essential aspect to employee benefit offerings. The growing demand for Preventure's services means only good things for potential hires as the company's need for employees is growing right alongside its success.
"The good news for Rhode Island is we are hiring," said Preventure COO Kathy O’Neel Webster. "We have more than doubled our workforce in the past three years and are continuing our quest to hire great employees."
During Friday's ceremony, both Gov. Lincoln Chafee and Congressman Jim Langevin spoke about the importance of growing business and hiring locally, especially during the unpredictable business climate that exists currently.
“What we do is work upstream in the health care continuum to prevent controllable health care costs," Correia explained. "Preventure gets companies moving in the right direction – toward a healthier and more productive workforce."
“Our explosive growth is evidence that the need for corporate wellness is rising steadily” said Laura Walmsley, Chief Business Development Officer. “Our mission is to impact our client’s success and improve the quality of life of each individual we touch."
According to Correia, “Preventure has grown because of our ability to make our client’s life easier, our flexible approach to meeting their needs and our ability to deliver their desired outcomes. In addition, we have intelligent, passionate employees focused on exceeding client expectations.”
