CHS Course Recommendations: Today is the deadline for Coventry High School underclassmen to return their elective/course recommendation form, signed by a parent or guardian. Any questions or concerns should be directed to the student's teacher or guidance counselor.
Community Blood Drive: Be a hero and donate blood today! The RI Blood Center Bloodmobile will be at Walmart (650 Centre of New England Blvd.) from 4-7 p.m.
Cyberbullying Presentation:Hopkins Hill School is sponsoring "Social Responsibility and Social Networking: A Journey Into Internet Safety and Cyberbullying" on Tuesday, April 30 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School auditorium (15 Foster Dr.). The free presentation features Dr. Lawrence P. Fillippelli who will provide information to parents and educators interested in protecting their children and students from online bullies and predators. For more information, see the attached flyer. Underclassmen Semi Formal: The CHS freshman/sophomore semi formal dance, "Red Carpet Romance" will be held Friday, May 17 from 7-10 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Tickets are $25 each and go on sale today through May 3 at all lunches. Only underclassmen may purchase tickets and only with a signed permission slip.
Plan Ahead - CPEF Fundraiser: The Coventry Public Education Foundation is hosting a fundraiser from 4:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3 at ShelaLara Vineyards & Winery (21B Reservoir Rd.) to raise money that enables CPEF members to enhance the quality of education in Coventry. Tickets are $30 per adult (21+). The event will feature wine-tasting, tours, light appetizers, a silent auction, grab bags and a raffle.
