CHS Early Dismissal Change: Originally, Coventry High School students were to be released early today to allow for employee Professional Development training, however the early dismissal has now been moved to May 1 at 12:30 p.m. Today is a FULL DAY of school. (All Coventry schools will still dismiss students early on Friday, April 26.) 

School Committee Meeting: The Coventry School Committee will meet this evenig at 7 p.m. at the School Administration Offices (1675 Flat River Rd.). Click here to view tonight's agenda.

CPEF Fundraiser: The Coventry Public Education Foundation is hosting a fundraiser from 4:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3 at ShelaLara Vineyards & Winery (21B Reservoir Rd.) to raise money that enables CPEF members to enhance the quality of education in Coventry. Tickets are $30 per adult (21+). The event will feature wine-tasting, tours, light appetizers, a silent auction, grab bags and a raffle. Capt. Hall Memorial Services: Services have been scheduled for CCFD Capt. Bill Hall who passed away following a battle with cancer on April 20. Capt. Hall's funeral will be Thursday at 8:45 a.m. at the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, (415 Washington St.), with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in SS John & Paul Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours are scheduled for Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to RI Pink Heals (www.ripinktrucks.com) will be appreciated.

Plan Ahead - Early Learning Center Forum: School officials will hold a Community Public Forum tomorrow (Wednesday) night to present and discuss details regarding the proposed Oak Haven Early Learning Center for Pre-K and K students in Coventry. The forum will be held at the School Administration Offices (1675 Flat River Rd.) at 6 p.m. and will give residents the opportunity to ask questions, address concerns and give input.
