It's Friday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Well, Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for every age to make your weekend just what you've been waiting for. Check our picks for the activities that are going on in town.

1.Toddlers, Tunes and Tales

Where/When: Greene Public LibraryFridays, 10-10:30 a.m.

Why Go: The Greene Public Library hosts a Friday morning program each week beginning for 1 to 3-year-olds accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The activity features songs, movement and a story. Please call the library at 397-3873 to register.

2.) Senior Center Yard Sale

Where/When: Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.); Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Why Go: The Coventry Senior Center will hold its Annual Spring Yard Sale on Saturday. Stop by to peruse the goods donated by local residents.

Pricing: Free admission

3.) Books! Books! Books!

Where/When: Coventry Public LibraryFriday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: The Friends of the Coventry Public Library will hold their Annual Spring Book Sale this week. Come by, pick up some beach reads for this summer and support the Library!

Pricing: Free admission

4.) Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration

Where/When: Coventry Public Schools Administration Offices (1675 Flat River Rd.); Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Why Go: Coventry Public Schools will hold this year's Pre-K and Kindergarten registration on Saturday. Kindergarten Screening may be arranged by calling Barbara Bridge at 822-9400 ext. 249. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2013 to enter Kindergarten. Be sure to bring child's birth certificate, proof of residency (recent utility bill, lease agreement, etc.) and immunization records.

5.) Memorial Day Parade Committee

Where/When: Coventry VFW Hall (29 South Main St.); Saturday 10-11 a.m. 

Why Go: Members of the Georgianna Hall Memorial Trust are once again planning the Coventry Memorial Day Parade! Anyone interested in being a part of the project should attend this informational meeting. For more information contact Parade Coordinator Wil Cole at whc3189@gmail.com or (401) 837-8439.

6.) Greene Library LEGO Club

Where/When: Greene Public Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene); Saturday, 10-11 a.m.

Why Go: Children in grades 1-5 are invited to bring their imagination to the Library's LEGO Club! No registration necessary.

7.) RI Genealogical Society Meeting

Where/When: North Scituate Public Library (606 West Greenville Rd., North Scituate); Saturday, 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Why Go: The RI Genealogical Society will hold a meeting this Saturday that will include speakers Barbara Carroll and Marge Caprara who will speak on their book Italian Voices of Rhode Island: Italian Americans; Scituate Historian Shirley Arnold and Robert Grandchamp of Coventry who will discuss his book Rhode Island and the Civil War: Voices From the Ocean State. There will also be a book sale and refreshments. All are welcome. If you have any questions, call Helen at 423-0442 or Marie at 826-0463.

8.) Greene Library Italian Dinner

Where/When: Greene Public Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene); Saturday, 6 p.m.

Why Go: The Greene Public Library will hold its Annual Italian Night Dinner on Saturday. Guests will enjoy a variety of pasta dishes and salads. Call 397-2318 for reservations or email greenepubliclibrary@verizon.net.

Pricing: Suggested donation is $10/adult, $5/child (ages 6-12), and $25/family (2 adults, 2 children).

9.) Line Dancing

Where/When: Coventry-West Greenwich Elks LodgeSunday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Want to try something a little different this weekend? Then try your hand (or feet) at line dancing. All ages and abilities are welcome. For more info call Jerry (397-3700) or Lori (206-3618).

Pricing: $6 per person to benefit Elks and Emblems charities.
